. You will have a Gas safe registration ideally with 3-4 years’ experience; this is a customer facing role with the expected salary of £32,000 - £37,000 per annum dependent on experience. A company Vehicle will also be provided.

Job Description

The general working day comprises of boiler and central heating Installations, heating and hot water breakdowns, servicing mains gas, LPG and oil appliances and unvented hot water cylinders, some plumbing e.g. radiators and hot water cylinders.

70% is domestic work; you will also work in schools, offices and community buildings.

You will be responsible to the owner who is also multi-qualified for Gas, commercial gas and with OFTEC. The office will make appointments for you and facilitate quotes, get parts and invoice any clients.

Training will and can be provided to progress the heating engineer in the direction they want to go and this can include commercial gas work.

Most work will be carried out locally although they cover work in and around the Newbury Area with some travel time up to 30 minutes. Overtime varies with 2-3 days per week for an extra hour requested in busy times.

On call once a month is part of the contract but is not currently implemented. Company meetings with everyone pitching in are held every 2-3 weeks.
