Stores Operative

Our Client based in Reading are looking for a Stores Operative to join their team The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for performing an array of duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse, and performing inventory controls and keeping quality standards high for audits.

Responsibilities:

  1. Receive,      unload, and place incoming inventory items appropriately in the warehouse.

  2. Check,      verify, and fill customer orders ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  3. Prepare and      complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack,      wrap, label, and ship).

  4. Perform      inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.

  5. Keep a clean      and safe working environment and optimize space utilization.

  6. Operate and      maintain warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order      pickers.

  7. Report any      discrepancies or damages to management.

  8. Handle and      document incoming and outgoing shipments accurately.

  9. Organize      warehouse space and maintain cleanliness, order, and safety standards.

  10. Assist with      physical inventory counts as required.

  11. Labelling      and tagging products accurately.

  12. Participate      in stock management and control.

  13. Maintain      proper documentation and records of warehouse activities.

Requirements:

  1. High school      diploma or equivalent.

  2. Proven work      experience as a Warehouse Associate or similar role.

  3. Ability to      operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.

  4. Good      organizational and time management skills.

  5. Ability to      lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks.

  6. Attention to      detail and accuracy in work.

  7. Basic math      and recording abilities.

  8. Excellent      communication skills.

  9. Ability to      work independently and as part of a team.

  10. Knowledge of      inventory management systems and procedures is a plus.

  11. Flexibility      to work in different shifts, including weekends and evenings.

  12. Commitment      to safety guidelines and procedures.
