DC Loom Builder and Board Fabricator

Our Client based in Woking is looking for a Direct Current Board and Loom Fabricator to join their successful team, on a contract basis. You will be working on the shop floor preparing DC boards to be fitted into Vehicles such as Vans and Trucks.
Overall Purpose: To fabricate DC board and looms for installation to vehicles to a consistently high standard.
Main Responsibilities:
Fabricate looms and DC board
Read and produce manual drawings as required

  • To carry out crimping, fixing and joint work to a consistently high standard.

  • To work with junction boxes, relays, and fuses.

  • Follow all instructions including technical instructions exactly.

  • To work in accordance with health and safety regulations at all times.

  • To attend training as required.

  • To become multi skilled and assist in other areas as and when requested.

  • To have a fully equipped took tool kit at all times

  • Any other reasonable request that may or may not be directly related to the job role as indicated above.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Three years’ experience in a similar trade and/or a formal electrical qualification is essential for this job as are excellent problem solving skills

  • Experience of reading and understanding electrical drawings

  • Circumstances

  • The ability to lift heavy objects on a regular basis and dexterousness are essential to this role.

  • The Job Holder must possess a full clean driving license
