A key member of
the Platform Engineering leadership team, you will be reasonable for
Engineering at the site and for representing Engineering, PMO and Environmental
Engineering at the Local Management Team (LMT).

of all product development for local NPI projects, from the point at which the
project is won) and management of the activities of a team of Project Managers.
Director will work with their V-P and the Plant Director to define and
implement local strategies that support the Platform goals.
- Work with the LMT to ensure that the site
meets its objectives.
- Work with the Platform Engineering leadership
team to define and deliver the Engineering strategy. Work cross site to
define and deliver PMO and the Test & Qualification strategies.
- Select, develop, and regularly evaluate
subordinates and their teams to ensure the efficient operation of the
function. Address performance
issues in a timely manner and in full to achieve department objectives.
- With the tools available within the company
and external resources, create leaders and empower the teams to succeed.
- Be the focal point for technical discussions
with customers and suppliers, understanding their technology roadmaps and
working with the Engineering team to grow its knowledge appropriately.

procedures and ownership of their dissemination to the relevant parties.
- Allocation of Engineering, PMO and
Environmental Engineering resources to support activities and projects
including management of external test facilities.

centre, external funding and projects.
- Manage the PMO to meet all the assigned
project/program objectives including delivery, quality, cost, reliability
and optimisation of profit with appropriate sets of KPIs.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to
other employees, customers and suppliers.
- Provide technical support to other departments
and pro-actively seek out opportunities to educate the rest of the
business on our technology advancements.
- Take ownership of the design, development,
modification and evaluation of product.
- Evaluate final results of research and
development projects to assure accomplishment of technical objectives,
outline the outcome of technical projects and make recommendations for
actions as necessary to achieve desired results.
- Own the Engineering, PMO & Environmental
Engineering Employee Survey results and actively work to improve them. Be
responsible for Operational Excellence within Engineering and support the
wider community achieving its goals.

Education and Qualifications
- Comprehensive understanding of the concept and
application of NPI processes for designing products.
- Management of multi-functional teams, budgets
and people development.
- Working at a senior level across all aspects
of the business
- Ideally a member of a professional body with
Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent from other professional bodies).
Able to demonstrate continuous personal development.
- Achieved a 1st or 2nd class honours degree or
equivalent in an engineering discipline with previous proven experience. A
physics degree would also be acceptable in some instances in place of an
